Vehicles in Germany's Town Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Authorities stated they were alerted by a man who discovered a car in Hanau covered with reddish substance

Roughly 50 vehicles have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postboxes were marked, sometimes with swastikas, they stated in a statement.

Officers report they were alerted during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been applied in the shape of a banned symbol, they reported.

Police then discovered multiple other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement report preliminary tests show the liquid was probably blood from a person.

"At present there remains no clue as to its source; officials are currently not informed of any physical harm in association with the occurrence," they added.

City officials stated they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the residents for tips.

An important political figure said the incident rendered him stunned and had to be solved promptly.

"This incident strikes at the core of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, mentioning the death of nine people by a assailant aiming at people of foreign heritage in five years prior.
